Our Philosophy
The Fourth Medicine Counselling walks alongside you
Counselling is not about fixing what's broken. It's about creating a space where you feel heard, and can explore and heal—at your own pace, in your own way.
The Four Sacred Medicines
Tobacco, sage, cedar, and sweetgrass provide the groundwork for healing at The Fourth Medicine Counselling. We give the utmost respect and honour to the Indigenous people across Canada. Treaty 6 Territory is the land on which we live and benefit from and is the homeland of Cree, Dakota, Nakota, Saulteaux, and Metis people. We are all treaty people. I am dedicated to ensuring that the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation is lived, and respect for all Indigenous cultures, languages, and traditions, is preserved.
The Heart Chakra
The Fourth Medicine Counselling honours and respects the sacredness of yoga and its Indian roots. We value and uphold yogic traditions and strive to respect the cultural authenticity of such a sacred practice. In yogic tradition, the fourth Chakra is the Heart Chakra—Anahata. Our work at “The Fourth Medicine Counselling” is inspired by Anahata which means “unstuck” or “unhurt,” symbolizing healing our hearts from past pain.
A Holistic Path
A multi-dimensional approach to restoring emotional well-being reminds us that true healing is holistic—it encompasses every dimension of who you are. At The Fourth Medicine, we honour every part of your story and are dedicated to helping you find your own path towards wholeness.
